Sportsman Steel Safes has shipped vault doors to the state of Washington for 40 years. To Spokane, Seatle, Garfield, Olympia and Tacoma. When we started building vault doors, Washington was oneof our most-ordered from states. Probably because Washington's citizens take protecting their firearms seriously. Just as serious as we take building our U.S. made vault door. Our track record speaks for itself: We have zero vault doors broken into or lost to fire in forty-two years. VAULT DOOR INSTALLATION
Installing your vault in Washington is easy. Simply, build your opening 3/8" taller and wider than the vault door you choose from our website. For example, if you want our 80" x 42" x 8" vault door, build your opening 80 3/8" tall x 42 3/8" wide x 8" deep. Once your vault door is inserted into it's opening, make sure it's level. Then mark the 12 - 5/8" holes on the frame directly onto your concrete or wood opening. Then secure the vault to your wall by drilling in 12 red-head bolts or lag-bolts into your wall. After your vault is bolted in, squeeze several tubes of fireproof caulking into the space between your frame and wall.
