VAULT DOOR INSTALLATION
Installing your vault door in South Carolina is a snap. Simply, build your opening 3/8" taller and wider than the vault door you choose from our website. For example, if you love our 80" x 42" x 8" vault doors, build your opening 80 3/8" tall x 42 3/8" wide x 8" deep. Once your American made vault door is inserted into it's opening, make sure it's level. Then mark the 12 holes that are on the frame directly onto your concrete or wood opening. Then secure the vault door to your wall by drilling 12 - red-head bolts or lag-bolts into your wood or concrete wall. After your vault is bolted-in, squeeze up to ten tubes of fireproof caulking into the space between your frame and wall.
